According to a study, strict parents can turn their kids into more effective liars because children who are afraid, to tell the truth, learn more deceptive behaviors to avoid getting in trouble.

Although rarely seen alive, in 2015 a Giant squid swam into a harbor near Tokyo on Christmas Eve. A diver jumped into the water to film and swam close to the squid for several minutes before it returned to the ocean.

10. The kidnapping for a 4-year-old American named Charley Ross in 1874, for ransom (considered the first in US history) became a nationwide sensation. Charley, who was never found, was lured by two men offering candy and fireworks, giving rise to the warning “never take candy from strangers.”
